This documentary looks at the methods employed by animal rights activists, from the well-known People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to smaller grassroots organizations. In addition to depicting various activists' media savvy and protests, the film also details outbreaks of violence by some of the movement's most militant elements. In response to some acts, in 2005 the FBI takes the controversial step of placing certain animal rights activists on its list of potential terrorists.
