'Crazy Cat Lady' is a feature-length documentary focused on the feral cat crisis in Los Angeles, and the dedicated -- though at times mischaracterized -- volunteers who are on the front lines of rescue, TNR (trap, neuter, return), fostering/adoption and more. These same animal-lovers include college professors, young students, CPAs, veterinarians who offer pro-bono services, philanthropists, and well-meaning "cat collectors" -- AKA hoarders AKA "Crazy Cat Ladies" (and gentlemen). There are estimated to be 3,000,000 feral cats in L.A. and due to an injunction that currently prohibits government funding to be utilized for spaying/neutering/feline-population control, the onus is solely on these volunteers who do TNR work, and donor-supported spay and neuter clinics to attempt to mitigate this seemingly-insolvable situation.
